Project Details

The design and construction of new operational facilities for Komatsu servicing Port Hedland and the North West comprise of office, warehouse and workshop facilities including a covered wash down bay and heavy plant storage areas. The building structure includes a steel frame with steel roof and wall cladding, heavy duty fibre reinforced concrete floors and large format bi-fold doors to allow heavy equipment access to the workshop areas. Internal office areas are formed from stud partitions and provide meeting rooms, offices and general amenity areas. The warehouse includes storage and welfare areas with services arranged to suit future parts storage racking. The workshop and wash bay areas are designed to accommodate large earthmoving equipment from the mining industry; an overhead gantry crane is provided for major repairs and servicing. External works include concrete access roads, car parking, graded equipment storage areas, stormwater and trade effluent disposal.
